The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra is thrilled and proud to congratulate one of our most recognized former members—Nicolas Richard on his recent appointment as Associate Principal Bassoon of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Nicolas enjoyed wonderful personal and professional development during his four years as a member of the NBYO, from 2011 to 2015.

Here is what Nicolas had to say about his tenure with NBYO:
« I often think of the indelible impact that being a member of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra for four years has had on my life. While the lessons I learned there would take up days to list, I am perhaps most grateful for the NBYO teaching me that coupling hard work with a strong sense of community leads to unforgettable and life-changing experiences. Everything I do in music is a direct consequence of my time in the NBYO and my interactions with the people, past and present, who make it the important program that it is. »
