Nominations for the 2020 Lieutenant Governor's NBYO Award open until February 1, 2020

The Lieutenant Governor’s NBYO Award was created in 2006 in celebration of the NBYO’s 40th anniversary.  The annual award recognizes exemplary leadership and contribution to the development of the orchestra, the musical development of youth and/or the orchestral community in New Brunswick.

Each year, musicians, instructors, members, patrons or volunteers from across the province and beyond are nominated, with the NBYO Awards Committee deciding on a maximum of three recipients. Anyone can nominate an individual they feel has made a sustained and significant contribution to the NBYO mission, the musical development of youth, and/or the orchestral community in New Brunswick.

The 2019 Lieutenant Governor's NBYO Award recipient was bassoonist, music teacher, composer, conductor and music educator Sam Arnold.
