Amy Robichaud didn’t pick the trombone. It picked her.

This fall, the 19-year-old from Caraquet begins her studies at the Royal College of Music in London, England — one of the top-ranked music schools in the world.

CBC News recently profiled NBYO musician and Sistema NB alumna Amy Robichaud as she prepares to begin studies at the Royal College of Music in London. The story traces Amy’s journey from joining Sistema NB in Grade 3, to finding confidence and community through music, to earning a place at one of the world’s top music schools after ten years of work on the trombone.
