After a sold-out run of The Sound of Music earlier this year, the Capitol Theatre and the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra’s Tutta Musica will again team up for a production of the musical Oliver!

The musical, featuring a mix of professional and community performers, will take the stage from Feb. 25 to March 5, 2017.

There will be 10 performances in total and tickets will go on sale in early September.

Oliver! will be directed by Marshall Button, with musical direction by Antonio Delgado.

Casting for Oliver! has begun and auditions will take place in late August. To be considered for a role, submit an electronic photo and resumé to julie@capitol.nb.ca.

Not all applicants are guaranteed an audition.

The musical Oliver! is based on the Charles Dickens’ novel Oliver Twist about a young orphan who is trying to survive on the streets in 19th-century London. “Please sir, can I have some more?” is among its most memorable lines, while popular songs include “Consider Yourself,”“You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two” and “Oom-Pah-Pah.”
