Founded in 1965 as Canada’s first provincial youth
orchestra, the mission of the New Brunswick
Youth Orchestra (NBYO) is to ‘inspire excellence
among children and youth through the learning and
performance of orchestralmusic.’
The provincial youth orchestra includes eighty of
the province’s most talented musicians, ages 12-24,
and chosen annually by audition. Members are
coached and mentored by an outstanding faculty of
professional musicians, directed by Music Director
andConductorAntonioDelgado.
