The Moncton Youth Orchestra was thrilled to perform in the inaugural concert of the Kingsbrae Garden Amphitheatre in St. Andrews, NB on Saturday, June 9, 2018. The state-of-the-art facility sits on the grounds of the Kingsbrae International Residence For the Arts, a new space in the heart of the community, that attracts artists from all over the world.  The Amphitheatre comfortably seats 1800 visitors, with additional space across the facility’s expansive lawn. For this first event, a near full house welcomed the talented young musicians and special guests.

“It was a spectacular afternoon of music by the Moncton Youth Orchestra and our guest performers iTromboni and a surprise performance by soloist, Mélanie LeBlanc.” Says Ken MacLeod, CEO of the NBYO organization. “We have performed at Kingsbrae Gardens on many occasions, and this new facility brings the experience to an entirely new level. It is a jewel in the community, New Brunswick and Canada.”

Concert guests were treated to a wide selection of music, including classics from Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky as well as a salute to Broadway.

MYO, iTromboni and Mélanie LeBlanc are also set to perform on Monday, July 2 at Riverfront Park in Moncton as part of the free, four-hour Pops NB concert event.
